Sir James asked him what he would like to do with his life and Ellis said "I would like to be a cabinet maker." "Oh", Sir James Dunn said - a carpenter "I know just the place for you." "I'm president of a steel mill in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, they make all kinds of things there, you can be a carpenter apprentice and learn the trade. I will send you there with a recommendation."
