A love story of 70 years of marriage has come to the end of its chapter. Barnaby “Rene” Reaume regretfully announces the passing of his beloved wife at Sault Area Hospital on December 23, 2023.  They shared a lifetime of love, laughter, tears and adventures with their 2 sons, Jerry Reaume (Norene) of Sylvan Lake, Alberta and the late Michael Reaume (April 2023).

Annette’s Grandchildren, Paul and Nicole and Great Grandchildren, Hunter, Isabella and Corbin (all of Sylvan Lake, Alberta) were near and dear to her heart. She thought of them everyday and enjoyed the time shared.

A long time ago …. The little family of four sisters had grown into a best seller! (Yes, Annette LOVED to read when she wasn’t golfing or bowling). She spent her whole life enjoying each moment with them, their husbands and their wonderful families- the late Jeannine Grisivich (late Joe) (late Ernest Reaume),

Alice Caul (John), and baby sister, the late Yvonne MacMillan (late Graydon).

The sisters were always doing something together- huge family dinners, husband and wives go dancing, family BBQ, camping, travelling, fishing, bowling, golfing, snow machining, gardening. Each chapter of her life unfolded with a new adventure; she couldn’t wait to turn the page to see what life would bring next. Annette has many nephews and nieces that will be missed by her.  They had touched her life in ways that only comes from the heart. The time spent with them was cherished dearly.

She loved all of her pet birds, dogs and cats. She loved all kinds of flowers and did a vegetable garden or two.  She enjoyed her life to the fullest .…. Every morning while having coffee with her husband, they would clink their cups…..  “cheers” to another day….. “We did it all!”

We would like to thank Dr. Steven Smith & the Sault Area Hospital ER staff for their compassion and great care.  Thank You to the whole SAH staff for the care and support.  Special thank you to the Great Northern Retirement Home for the exceptional care, support and love everyone has shown to Annette. Thank you to the FJ Davey home staff for the brief but memorable stay.

With special love and appreciation to Catherine St. Germain for her love and care.
