Passed away peacefully at the F.J. Davey Home on Friday, July 16, 2021 in her 99th year. Predeceased in 2006 by her husband and soulmate Edward of 62 years. Maw will be forever missed by her loving daughter Linda Frees (Chuck). There were many happy times, shopping trips, time spent with family and playing cards at the Senior Centre where she made many friends. Grandma will be missed always and remembered as "the commander-in-chief" by her grandchildren Sheldon (Marnie) from Sault Ste. Marie, Todd (Wendi) from St. Catherines, Chris (Candy) from Sault Ste. Marie and Greg from Toronto. Beloved great grandmother of Brittany (Allan) of New Zealand, Brandon and Madison of Sault Ste. Marie. Sister of the late Bud of Powell River, B.C. and sister-in-law of Barbara who was and continues to be a welcome source of support and comfort to me. Daughter of the late Winnifred and Leon Smith of Powell River, B.C.
A private graveside service will be held at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
