February 26, 1934 - May 5, 2023

Fran passed away peacefully at Silver Heights Care Home in Raymore, SK. Her last day was spent with her granddaughter, and she got to eat her favorite meal of sausage and perogies and talk on the phone with her son and the rest of her grandchildren.  Predeceased by her husbands Bud Wright and George Rule; daughter Teri Keating (Tim); parents Fred and Ada Dolter, sisters Isabelle Dumanski (Darwin) and Madeline Knott (Jack); and brothers Henry Dolter (Ann), Ronnie Dolter (Marlene "Hunny"), and Clem Dolter (Carol).

Fran is survived by her son Doug Wright (Gloria); grandchildren Nastasha Charron (Denny), Rhiannon Keating, Ciera Keating, Chance Wright, and Heath Wright (Leslie); great grandchildren Evangeline, Rylinn, Lily, Skylar, Paige and Aubrey; and many beloved nieces and nephews.

Fran was born and raised on a farm near Sintaluta, SK. She always spoke fondly of growing up there and all the "trouble" her and her siblings would get into. Fran married her first husband Bud Wright in Regina, Sk. There they had two children, Doug, and Teri. After her son and daughter had grown she left Regina for Vancouver where she met and married her second husband George Rule. Fran and George moved to Sault Ste Marie, ON where they started and ran their own business until they retired and then moved to Clinton, ON. They enjoyed their golden years together in Clinton, ON and London, ON.

After the loss of her late husband George, Fran moved back to Sault Ste Marie to be near family.  She spent many years here hosting and cooking Sunday family roast beef dinners with her beloved apple, lemon meringue and coconut cream pies for dessert. She took great joy in cooking and particularly in baking pies for her family.

As Fran grew gracefully in age, she began to require more assistance and care. So, the decision was made to move her to Saskatchewan to be near her son Doug so he could assist with the management of her care.

A special thank you and gratitude to Fran's niece Joan for all the time she spent visiting her Aunty Fran and for her incredible thoughtfulness.  A big thank you also to Lori and her staff at Silver Heights Care Home in Raymore for all their hard work, compassion and for taking such amazing care of Granny Fran.

She was deeply loved. She will be deeply missed. We love you truly...

No funeral service will be held. A private family internment will be held at a later date.

Arrangements entrusted to Conley Funeral Home, Raymore, SK 1-306-746-1000.
