SAARELA, Nestor D. – Peacefully at Maison McCulloch Hospice on Wednesday, November 13, 2024 at the age of 64 with family at his side.
Devoted father of Amy Saarela (Richard Pitre) and the late Justin Saarela. Dear brother of the late Grant Saarela (Joy), Carol Reid and Brian Saarela (Nancy). Lifelong friend of Beverley Howard. Predeceased by his parents George and Dolly Saarela. Nestor will also be missed by his nephews and fondly remembered by the Howard family.
Nestor was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing. A stand-up guy, Nestor wasn’t one to complain. He was an understanding and loving father.
A memorial service will be announced at a later date. Memorial contributions to Maison McCulloch Hospice or the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated. Arrangements entrusted to Menard Funeral Home.
