Jessica and Daniel announce the peaceful passing of their father Joe Sanguinetti at Mount Sinai Hospital on Friday July 8th, 2022. Joe was the devoted son of Amalia and the late Armando Sanguinetti, brother of Marisa Stancati (Mario), uncle of Michael Stancati (Lilly), Amy Tait (Gord), Andrea Secondi (Jordan) and great uncle of Briella Secondi, Mason Tait, Kaitlyn Secondi, and Zoe Tait.
Joe was a people magnet, never seeking attention, yet often on the receiving end of it. A natural leader, with a quiet yet commanding presence, he had strength and softness, keeping family and friends close always.
He loved sports, fine cars, good restaurants and the unending search for the perfect short espresso. His greatest joys and the loves of his life were his children Jessica and Daniel, to whom he imparted his dry wit, tenacity and generosity. He was not only their dad, he was their friend, counsellor and biggest fan.
Joe’s great sense of humour, warmth and love of life will be missed by all who knew him.
A special thank you to the nursing staff at Mount Sinai Hospital for their support of Joe and his family. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Sinai Health Foundation would be welcomed.
