It is with profound sadness that the family announces the sudden passing of Eliza at the age of 74. She was daughter of the late Emile and Geraldine Doucette Nee Lavoie. Cherished wife of the late Daniel. Beloved wife of Tony Paim. Sister of Lionel Doucette (Ester), Margaret (Larry Harris), Ron Doucette (Sylvina), Patricia Roussy (Maurice) and the late Francis Doucette. Beloved mother of Tom O'Brien (Karen), Sandra (Rick McLean), late Chuck Connors, Kathy (Monte Ford), Tammy See (Michael Arbour) and Danny See (Judith). Grandmother of Andrew O'Brien (Jill) and Natalie O'Brien (Travis), Riley (Emily), Colin (Julie) and Sara McLean, Justin, Cody and Brittney Hatten (Matt), Kelsey, Brittney (Halston), Chris and the late Ryan Ford, Toni See (Dan), Avery, Darby and Colby Arbour and Lawrence and Charlie See. Great grandmother of Zoey, Alex, Robbie, Thomas and Richard. Special friend to the late Donna Lambert and Dana Stevens. Now she can play cards with Dan, Donna and Chuck. She was loved and will be missed by many nieces, nephews and close friends and neighbours.

Eliza was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 374 and the Ladies Auxiliary. She was also on the Matthew's Memorial Hospital Auxiliary. She also volunteered her time to countless other community endeavors. Eliza will be fondly remembered for being a fierce card player, her giant heart and her kind generous nature. Eliza was always welcoming to everyone. In her spare time, she loved tending to her garden. She had a love for hummingbirds, all things red and her collection of spoons.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Matthew's Memorial Hospital of Richard's Landing, the First Responders and all the staff from the ICU at the Sault Area Hospital.

As per Eliza's wishes, a Come and Go Memorial Celebration will be held at the Hilton Beach Community Hall (3050 Hilton Road) on Saturday July 15, 2023 from 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM.

In lieu of  flowers, memorial donations (made payable by cheque or online) to North Shore Health Network (NSHN) Auxiliary - Matthew's Site or a charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated by the family. Please visit www.arthurfuneralhome.com obituaries section to leave a message of condolence as a keepsake for the family.
