Ermando Silveri, at the age of 83 years, died peacefully, after a courageous battle with cancer at the Plummer Memorial Hospital on Tuesday September 14, 2004. Beloved husband for 51 years of Anna. Adored father of; Linda Fleming (Bruce) of London, Ontario and Mirella Zanatta (late John) of London Ontario. Much loved Nonno of Lindsay and Andrew. Dear brother of the late Antonio (late Idea) of Italy, late Sabatino (late Ada) of Sault Ste. Marie, Dea (late Antonio DiCarlo), the late Elzia Mastrachi (Gaetano) of Italy and Orlaide Moscone (Antonio) of Italy. Special brother-in-law of Fernando Castagna (Anita) of Port Colborne, Antonio Castagna (Edvege) of Italy, Giovanni Castagna (Maria) of Italy, the late Francesco Castagna (Piera) of Hamilton, Fidia Morassut (Dioniso) of Sault Ste. Marie and Gino Castagna (Lorraine) of Sault Ste. Marie. Fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the Northwood Funeral Home (942 Great Northern Road 945-7758) on Friday September 17, 2004 from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. and then to St. Gregory’s Church for funeral mass at 1:30 p.m. with Reverend Victor Amadio officiating. Entombment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery Mausoleum. Memorial donations made to the Sault Area Hospital Cancer Clinic, St. Gregory’s Church Memorial Fund or the Group Health Centre Trust Fund would be appreciated by the family.
