Helen Diane Simms passed away peacefully at Extendicare Mapleview on Tuesday, December 25, 2018 at the age of 90 years.
Beloved wife of the late Joseph Aubrey Simms. Loving mother of Shelly Carrier (Alain), Corie Simms (Cam) and the late Steven Simms. Proud grandmother of Shawna Wanamaker, Billie-Jo Wanamaker (Scott), AJ Carrier, Desiree Carrier, Calvin Premo (Sarah), Travese Premo (Kristie), Kylee Bell (Drew), Francine Robitaille, Joseph Simms (Suzanne) and Lacey Simms; great-grandmother to many and great-great-grandmother to one.
Special thanks to all the staff on Twin Lakes at Mapleview Nursing Home and especially to the one who could always make her laugh, even in her last hours. Also want to thank the staff at the Ontario Finish Rest Home for the years of care they gave her.
Friends may call at the Arthur Funeral Home - Barton & Kiteley Chapel (492 Wellington Street East 705-759-2522) on Friday, December 28, 2018 from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. followed by the funeral service in the chapel at 1:00 p.m. with Mrs. Helen Smith officiating.
