SMITH, Louise Ada, March 2, 1935 - September 5, 2023 - It is with heavy hearts that the family announces the passing of Louise at the age of 88.
Daughter of the late George and Marion Corbett. Beloved wife of the late Ken. Proud mother of Marsha Merrick (late Bill), John, Valerie McCarnen (Randy), Chris and Gail Reed (late Wayne). Best nanny ever to Jennifer Pine (Corey), Melissa Merrick, Nancy Boudreault (Travis), Jason Reed (Tab), Kimberly Jacobsen (Derek), Kendra Porath (Joe) and Adam McCarnen. Nanny of Jessica Pine (Harley), Aaron Pine (Madison), Rayanna Merrick, Kyle Jacobsen, Avalyn and Logan Boudreault, Camron and Cohen Reed and Isabella and Joleigh Porath. Great-great grandmother of Seifer Pinder. Survived by her siblings Jean, Karen, Tammie, Sharon and Eddy. Predeceased by her siblings Doreen, Loretta, Ervin, Ernie and Jerry.
As per Louise's request, no formal funeral service will be held at this time, cremation will take place. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations (made payable by cheque or online) to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Sault Area Hospital would be greatly appreciated by the family.
