It is with profound sadness the family announce the death of Harvey. While sudden, he passed away peacefully and surrounded by love on Tuesday, May 26 2020. Beloved husband and best friend of Christine Hill Snider (late Joan). Adored father of Mark Snider (Sarah) and Karen (Ceilidh) Snider (Tim). Much loved by Christopher Hill (Natasha), Jennifer Hill (Jon), and Kathryn Lortie (Bryce). Proudest Grandfather of Rachel, Kate, Ryder, Madeline, Easton, and Jakob. Son of the late Bud and Hattie Snider. Brother of Shirley Macleod (John) , Marlene Malley, Roberta Vosnek, and Bonnie Young (Algin). Harvey came from humble beginnings and never let his limits quiet his incredible potential or achievements. He was a highly accomplished fisherman, hunter, and guide from a very young age. It was with this incredible perseverance he was able to put himself through Dental School at the University of Toronto, he went on to serve his patients for over 50 years. He will be remembered admirably by his many colleagues. Later in life he sustained his passion for the outdoors tending to his gardens, golfing, and most recently became a wonderful photographer. Harvey was a man of great pride, respect, and genuine love for his profession, his family, and his friends, his unwavering guidance and friendship will be greatly missed. He died exactly how he lived his life; with courage and strength. Due to circumstances beyond our control a private ceremony has taken place with immediate family. We would like to thank Sault Area Hospital and the staff in I.C.U. for their tremendous care and compassion, and Mrs. Helen Smith for her lovely words.
