Passed away peacefully at the F.J. Davey Home on Monday, April 19, 2021 at the age of 89. Beloved husband of 63 years to Yolande Sonier (nee Maltais). Loving father of Roger Sonier and Denise Sonier (Steve Tasko). Proud grandfather of Tracey and Jacob Sonier, Hayden, Grayson and Nicholas Tasko.
Dear brother of Genevieve St. Pierre (Bernard), Allard Sonier (Laura), Emily Basque (Charles), Angelina Basque (late Damian), Laurette Hebert (late Alfred), Yvonne Jacque (Jean), Oliver Sonier (Eva) and Raoul Sonier (Adrienne). Brother-in-law of Norman Maltais, Armande Clark (late John), Jean-Guy Maltais (Marie), Lizette Petrokoski (Bruno), Diane Gratton (Gaston), Henriette McHattie and Claudette Maltais. Fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews.
Following Alex’s wishes, cremation has taken place and the inurnment at Greenwood Cemetery.
