It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our mother on Saturday, April 20, 2024 at Health Sciences North in Sudbury, Ontario after a very brief battle with cancer.
Loving mother to Elliot (Annette) of Alberta and Travis (Jenn) of Sault Ste. Marie. Cherished grandmother to Ethan, Sajil and Payton of Alberta and Kinsley, Taissa, Kade, Leah and Danielle of Sault Ste. Marie. Beloved sister to Garth (Arlene), Debbie (Tom) and Pam (Rocker). Special aunt to Shawn, Shane and Mackenzie. Predeceased by her husband Clifford in 2012, brothers Darrell and Blayne and her nephew Mathew. She will be greatly missed by many family and friends, especially BFF for 46 years and father of Travis, Vic Fremlin.
Kim was a hard working, down to earth person who would give you the shirt off of her back if you needed it. Throughout her working years as a bartender, OLG dealer and painter, she met and made many friends. She always strived to be the best at whatever job she was doing.
Her passion in retirement was her family and travel. Kim was fortunate enough to travel all over the world to enjoy the sun and a cold Michelob Ultra. The last wish she had was to travel to Scotland to see her family's heritage.
When Kim wasn't working or travelling, she usually spent as much time as she could in the country. She was a country girl through and through. The smile on her face was priceless when she was in Bar River. It was her paradise at home. During her last days, she was able to do many 'backroad' tour as she did in her younger years.
The saying 'Live, Laugh, Love' is exactly how she lived her life and she will always be remembered for her bright smile, cheerful personality and blue eyes.
Please raise a toast! A cold Michelob Ultra in her honour as this is what she would have wanted. Cheers!
