In loving memory of Carman Edward Swallow. It is with heartfelt sadness the family announces his sudden passing in Sudbury on Thursday, December 2nd, 2021 at Health Sciences North. Son of Vera and Keith Swallow both predeceased. He is survived by his loving wife Lorraine (McDonald), cherished and loving father of Scott (Sylvie), Steven (Melodie) and recently discovered his daughter Lynn. Survived by grandchildren Sean (Nancy), Anthony, Kirsten, and Carlee (Carlos) and 2 great grandchildren Bryce and Carson. Survived by his loving siblings Karen of Sault Ste. Marie, Judy of Kentucky, Bill of Wisconsin and his many nieces and nephews, relatives, and friends. Carman coached youth baseball in Sudbury and took the team on to win the Ontario Championship in 1990, receiving a commendation from the Premier of Ontario. Carman also volunteered his time and knowledge with Laurentian, York and Ryerson Universities men’s hockey teams. He knew and loved the game. Carman was very active in supporting local charities including Young Street Mission, Jackson’s Point BIA and Town of Georgina motorcycle rides. As per family wishes, there will not be a funeral service and a celebration of life will be at a later date. Donations can be made to a charity of your choice and as Carman would say and do – “lend a helping hand to someone in need”. Arrangements entrusted to the Jackson & Barnard Funeral Home.
