William “Bill” J. Swallow, 69, of Peshtigo, WI, USA passed away on Sunday, February 27, 2022, at Bellin Hospital in Green Bay, WI surrounded by his family. He was born on May 27, 1952, to the late Keith and Vera (Collar) Swallow in Sault St. Marie, Ontario, Canada. He had graduated from High School in Canada and had worked at the Algoma Steel Mill. In 1987, Bill moved to Peshtigo after meeting his wife on a fishing trip. On August 22, 1987, Bill married Jan Sieloff in Porterfield. He had worked for Lloyd Flanders and the Luther Home and enjoyed woodworking, cutting firewood, going for rides, playing cards, and in his younger years, fishing. His greatest joy was his family time, especially time spent with his grandchildren.
Bill is survived by his wife of 34 years, Jan Swallow of Peshtigo; daughter, Amy (Josh) Anderson of Porterfield; son, Keith (Becky) Swallow of Peshtigo; sister, Judy Wilke of TN and Karen (Marvin) Kennedy of Sault St. Marie, Ontario; sister in law, Lorraine Swallow of Keswick, Ontario; three grandchildren: Lily, Ethan, and Emma; three grand-dogs: Willow, Maple, and Dixie; and his best friend and four wheeling buddy, Rod. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Carmen; and brother in law, Walter “Butch” Wilke.
Visitation will be held at Thielen Funeral Home 1403 Newberry AVe Marinette, WI, USA on Thursday, March 3rd from 4-6pm. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery in Peshtigo.
