Passed away peacefully at Sault Area Hospital with her loving son Dave by her side at the age of 88, on Wednesday May 11, 2022. She is now reunited with her late husband Dan and many members of her family who have gone before her.

Mother of Daniel Sweezey (Theresa), Marge Martone (Joseph) and Dave Sweezey. Adored Grandmother of Joe Martone (Jennifer), Michael (Angela), Kyle Sweezey (Joyce), Heather Sweezey (Carey), Ryan Sweezey and Tyson Sweezey (Gillian). Her pride and joy were her Grandchildren especially her Great Grandchildren, Matteo Martone, Porter Martone, Adriana Martone, Audrey Martone, Sammy Sweezey, Nya Sweezey, and Lily Sweezey. Her Grandchildren brought her such joy and she so looked forward to their visits and phone calls.

Daughter of the late Rose and Art St. Croix. Dear sister of the late Jeanne (late Florian), late Jean Paul (late Yvette), late Leo (late Therese), late Fern (late Patricia), late Art (late Rita) late Onile, late Tony (Blanche), late Betty (late Gord), late Yolande (late Pete), late Peter and Maryanne (late Jim). Sister in-law of Ken Sweezey. Aunt Loretta will also be missed by her numerous nieces and nephews. Our mother had a special place in her heart for her nieces Janice and Annette and good friend Vicky.

Our mother was always so kind and thoughtful and always full of spunk and smiles and she was a great storyteller. She was truly the strongest lady with a lovely and wonderful soul. She will be missed by anyone that had the pleasure of being in her company.

We would like to send out a very heartfelt thank you to Dr. Guinti, Dr. Patterson and nursing staff especially Jenn and Bailey, who went above and beyond to make sure our mother was always comfortable. They showed great compassion to our mother and her family. A huge thank you to Great Northern Retirement home where she has spent the last 5 years of her life, she truly loved living there and would always say how kind everyone was and made her stay there feel like home. A special thank you goes her close friends Dorothy, Barb and Annette.

As per Loretta’s wishes cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation or funeral, a celebration of her life will be held at a later date.

Memorial donations to the charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated.
