It is with profound sadness that the family of Anthony Edward Syrette announce his peaceful and quiet passing at the Algoma Residential Community Hospice on Friday, March 29, 2019. He was the loving and best friend for 41 years of Roseann Plouffe. Caring step dad of Debbie Veldt (Chris) of Wawa, Tammy Plouffe (Vic Gareau) and son Robert. Papa of Jordan Veldt (Vanessa) of Wawa, the late Jesse James Veldt, Kyle Gareau and Joshua Gareau. Great Papa of Avery Veldt and a new one coming in May. Son of the late Clara Syrette and Jan. He leaves behind his 5 sisters and their families to mourn him, Alice Jones (late Glen), Rose Pine (late Garnet), Liz Jones (late Gordon), Elaine Syrette (Pudgy) of London, Ontario and Jackie Rickard. Brother-in-law of the late Len Irvine (Carol), Rick Irvine of Grand Prairie, and Betty Irvine. Tony was uncle to many nieces and nephews. His furry friends Maggie and Molly will miss him dearly. Family and friends are invited to visit at the Arthur Funeral Home - Barton & Kiteley Chapel on Monday, April 1, 2019 from 6 pm until 9 pm. Cremation to follow. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions (payable by cheque) to ARCH or charity of your choice would be appreciated. The family would like to thank all the doctors and nurses on 3B at the Sault Area Hospital for all their care while Tony was there and thanks to the caring staff at ARCH.
