It is with deep regret that we announce the passing of George Tanner at the age of 65 on July 9th, 2021.
George is survived by his sons, Chris and Justin, and daughters-in-law, Miranda and Jennifer. George was also a proud Grandfather of his two grandchildren, Cayle & Wren.
George will be forever missed by many close friends, neighbours, fishing buddies, family, and especially his fur baby, Taffy.
George was a kind and gentle person who was always willing to help someone in need. Whether it was shoveling snow, building a deck, or moving furniture, he was always there.
As per the family’s request, the remains have been cremated and a private memorial will be held at a later date. Please contact René or Wanda if you wish to attend.
In lieu of flowers a memorial contribution may be made (payable to or online) to the Sault Ste Marie Humane Society, The Animal Assistance Group (TAAG), or the Epilepsy Foundation of Ontario.
