We regret to announce the passing of our dear mother on Tuesday, November 12, 2024, at the Algoma Residential Community Hospice (ARCH) at the age of 95. She is now reunited with her beloved husband, Giovanni. Loving mother of Frank (Lia) of Ottawa, Sandra Torcoletti of Oshawa, and Dave (Janice, late Starr) of London. Loving Nonna of Andrew (Karyn) and Mark Torcoletti (Maureen) of Guelph, Veronica Creamer (Matt) of Ottawa and Jennifer Tesolin of Ottawa. Great grandmother of Alise, Norah, Luke, Jacob, Madison Torcoletti and Mason and Riley Creamer. Special friend of Mary Stocco.
Daughter of the late Antonio and the late Genoveffa Pilot. Beloved sister of Marisa DaPos (late Luigi) and Anna Sacchi (Mauro) of Italy and predeceased by Romano Pilot (late Emilia), Enzo Pilot (late Rafaella) of Sault Ste Marie, Noemi Santarossa (late Irenio) of Toronto, Ines Moro (late Pietro), Basilio (late Pierina), Gelindo (late Olympia) and Giuseppe all of Pordenone, Italy. Dear sister-in-law of Adrianna DiDanieli (late Mario). She will be fondly remembered by her many nieces and nephews in Canada and Italy.
Norma was a happy resident of Kotitalo Assisted Living residence for the past five years where she enjoyed spending time with her many friends and staff. We graciously thank the staff of Kotitalo for the love and care extended to mom.
Norma was an excellent cook, gardener and mushroom hunter. She enjoyed being with her close friends, playing cards, going to the casino, traveling, and especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Norma was a supportive member of the Fogolar Friulan of Sault Ste. Marie, honourary member of the Electra Marconi Society and the Catholic Women’s League of St. Gregory’s Parish. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.

We are grateful to Marilyn and Phil Levesque and Denise and Wayne Smith for always stepping in at a moments notice in assisting mom when we could not be there. Friends and family are invited to visit at Northwood Funeral Home Cremation and Reception Centre (942 Great Northern Rd, 705-945-7758) on Friday, November 15, 2024 from 12:00 p.m. until the time of the Funeral Service in the Chapel at 2:00 p.m. with Father Trevor Scarfone officiating.
