It is with bitter sweet sorrow that we are saying goodbye to David Tier, known to many as “Nearly Normal Dave” and known to loving wife Wendy as simply “My David”.  His struggles are over as we begin our next part of the journey without his physical presence beside us.  Loving husband of Wendy.  Excessively proud father of Gord (Marcy) and Christine (Eric).  Loving Grandpa “Obi Wan” of Joey (Jessica).  Great grandfather of Maggie. Predeceased by his parents Gordon and Hilda Tier.  Brother of the late Peggy (Bob), Lois (late Don), late Ray (Darlene), Paul (Peggy), late Danny and Sue.  David will be missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was third in the litter line of Hilda (Reed) and Gordon Tier. David will be cremated and there will be no visitation or funeral service. In lieu of flowers a donation to the charity of your choice or to the Sault Area Hospital would be most gracious.  In the summer or early fall I will be hosting “A Celebration of Life”, that like all lives, was fraught with may highs and memorable lows.  So stay tuned family, friends, ex coworkers I expect a written memory from you of him for his family to ponder the many facets of the amazing man and his once magnificent brain. Special thank you to Dr. Jonusatis, Fera, Rossi and Booth.  A heartfelt thank you for the compassionate, caring, respectful attention given to both David and his family from the nursing staff on 3C.  To name a few would do an injustice to the many who participated in his care at one time or another.   (Arrangements entrusted to the Arthur Funeral Home – Barton & Kiteley Chapel 492 Wellington St. East 705-759-2522).
