TOMASONE, Mario

 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mario Tomasone on May 17, 2019, at the age of 83. Devoted husband to Tina for 57 years; loving and supportive father to Mike, Lou, and Al (Yvette); dedicated nonno to Brandon and Jordan. Mario was born in Gambatesa, Italy, to the late Rosario Michele and late Maria-Giacinta, one of eight children: siblings Domenico, Salvatore and Rosaria are predeceased; Giuseppe, Antonio, Concetta and Vittorio survive him. Mario’s greatest pride was his family, and his love for them was unconditional. Mario also leaves behind dear sisters-in-law Taide Mio (late Umberto) and Ana Mele (late Antonio); cherished nephews and nieces Victor, Roger, Fabio, Ann Marie, Sandra and Diana and their families in Canada; many more loved ones in Italy; Nicole, mother of Brandon and Jordan; and lifelong friends. A kind and gracious man, Mario will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Friends are invited to visit at Northwood Funeral Home Cremation and Reception Centre (942 Great Northern Rd, 705-945-7758) on Thursday, May 23, 2019 from 12:00 P.M. until time of funeral service in the chapel at 2:00 P.M. with Father Veselko Kvesic officiating. Interment will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
