Passed away peacefully on Friday, February 26, 2016 at Maple View Extendicare Nursing home, in his 89th year. He had previously spent the last ten months of his life at the Sault Area Hospital in Complex Care. Terry is survived by his loving wife, Sheila (nee Smith) of 63 years . Also survived by his daughters Linda (Rodger Noble) of Stittsville, Ontario and Colleen (Jay Richards) of Sault Ste. Marie. He is predeceased by his youngest daughter, Joannie (Ray Leffler) of Huntsville, Ontario. Terry is predeceased by his parents William and Mabel Trainor of Hilton Beach, Ontario. Loved brother of Jean (late Harry Murphy) of Burlington, Ontario, late Norma of Hilton Beach, Ontario (late James Vair, late Henry Brownlee), late Patrick (late Ruth) of Barrie, Ontario, late Madge of Sault Ste. Marie, late Glyn (Dorothy) of Lindsay, Ontario, late Eva (late Dave Allison) of Hilton Beach, late Edwin (Helen) of Smiths Falls, Ontario, late Wallace (late Frances) of Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario. He is also predeceased by a special cousin, Ken Trainor (late Alice), whom he thought of as a brother. Terry is predeceased by his mother and father-in-law, Albert and Isabel Smith, and his brothers and sisters-in-law Gerald and Mae Smith and Phyllis and James Valley, and Gloria and Bob MacPherson. He is survived by his loving grandchildren, Ellen and Emily Noble, Cal and Cailin Richards, and Ava, Spencer and Karina Leffler, and also by his numerous nieces and nephews, of whom he was very proud, and loved like his own. Terry spent the greater part of his life assisting people with their real estate needs. Friends may call at Northwood Funeral Home Cremation and Reception Centre (942 Great Northern Road 705-945-7758) on Tuesday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Memorial service will be held in the chapel on Wednesday, March 2, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Peter Smyth officiating.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the SAH Foundation Renal Dialysis Unit, the Hilton Beach Public Library , Holy Trinity Anglican Church, or plant a tree in Terry’s memory. www.northwoodfuneral.com
