In loving memory of a wonderful husband and dear father. It is with heavy hearts that we announce his sudden passing on Saturday, January 21, 2023 at the age of 73.
Leaving behind the love of his life of 49 years, Elizabeth Van Scoy. Son of the late Harry (Gertrude) Van Scoy. Loving father to Tommy Van Scoy (Tina), Aimee Van Scoy (Chris). Brother to Richard Van Scoy (Margaret), Ron Van Scoy (Desiree) and Darren Van Scoy (Sharilyn). Grandfather to the late baby Elizabeth Van Scoy, Emily Van Scoy, Briteny Van Scoy, Luckas Van Scoy, Mackenzie Van Scoy and Jadin Van Scoy. Great grandfather to Aiden, Elizabeth, Hayden and Thomas. Uncle to Meaghan (Jake), Stacy, Destiny, Madison, Taylor, Ashton and Tammy Van Scoy. John was also a wonderful uncle to many nieces and nephews and a great man to many family and friends that loved him deeply.
As per John's wishes, a Come & Go Visitation will be held at Arthur Funeral Home - Barton & Kiteley Chapel (492 Wellington St. E., 705-759-2522) on Monday, January 30th from 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations (made payable by cheque or online) to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be greatly appreciated by the family.
