VECCHIO, Gennaro

Peacefully at the Sault Area Hospital (General Site) with his
family at his side, after a courageous battle with cancer on Saturday, May 28, 2005.
The Lord freed him from his pain and brought him home in his 73rd year. Beloved
husband of Rosa Vecchio for 42 years. Dear father of Maria Rossi (Anthony), Lidia
Pulente (Johnny), Raffaele (Erika), Orelio (Patricia), Gino (Shelley), Leonardo and
Gennaro Jr. (special friend Tanya). Dear grandfather of Daniella Rossi, Julia and
Serena Pulente, Roman, Christian, Olivia, Brandon, Jordan, Alexa and Cameron
Vecchio. Brother of Ortenzio (Mafalda), Giovanni (Carmela) of Kingston, Emila
Belcastro (Luigi) of Kingston, Carmela Giorno (Franco) of Kingston, the late
Vincenzo (Adelina), the late Salvatore (Anna) and the late Raffaela Carbone (the
late Jimmy). Son of the late Maria Antonia and Giuseppe Vecchio and son-in-law of
the late Anita and Gaspare Bruni. He will be sadly missed by many brothers and
sisters-in-law and many nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the O'Sullivan
Donnelly Funeral Home (corner of Cathcart and St. James Streets) Tuesday, May 31st
from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. Funeral mass at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church Wednesday,
June 1st with Rev. Eric Pannike officiating at 1:30 p.m. Interment at Holy Sepulchre
cemetery. Donations to the Community Cancer Clinic would be appreciated.
