VENABLES-CARRIER, Braxton (November 23, 1997 ~ October 10, 2023) - Hearts are shattered, still in shock and at a loss for words, so many lives will never be the same, as we share the devastating news that Braxton's life was taken in an instant October 10th, 2023. Braxton was known for his big heart, bright mind and infectious smile. Braxton worked in the mines, was an avid fisherman who loved the outdoors, gardening and camping. He was a devoted father to Blaine, left to be remembered by Blaine's mother Lily and her daughter Layla. Braxton will forever be remembered for his zest for life and the love for his family by his proud parents Shannon Venables and Sebastien Carrier. Always looking out for his siblings, he was the best big brother to his sisters Brianna, Bralynn, Bryce and Bro Xavier. Cherished first grandson to Patricia (Harry), Rick (Kathy), Lisa (Jeff), Claude (Aline) and adored great grandson of Ma'mere Ereina and the late J.P. Lacroix. He will be deeply missed as the Fun-loving uncle to Grayson and honorary coolest uncle to many. Unconditionally loved nephew of Sylvain, Luke, Billy, Melissa, Mathieu, Katherine, and his many cousins. Braxton will be remembered for his "Go Big or Go Home!" demeanor. He was family to anyone who knew him, whether he was your big or little brother, the brother you never had, or the bonus son, you loved like your own, he loved you all the same. He lived to take care of others, loved bigger than most and helped anyone he could! He was always up for an adventure, especially with the boys, whether it was a last-minute road trip, ride in the boat with the hooks baited, or even a cold rip on the sleds during the winter. His huge circle of friends, too many to name, stemming right from childhood, to up North where he developed life-long friends with coworkers along the way. He made it a point to always check in and stayed connected with everyone he met, no matter the time that past, it was like he never missed a beat. Braxton will live forever in many hearts with treasured memories. Family and friends are invited to a visitation at the Arthur Funeral Home - Barton & Kiteley Chapel (492 Wellington St. E. 705-759-2522) on Thursday, October 19, 2023 from 1:00 pm until 4:30 pm. Funeral service to follow at 5 pm with Mrs. Helen Smith officiating. Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.arthurfuneralhome.com for the Venables-Carrier family.
