It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Anthony on Saturday November 23, 2019 at the age of 75, with his loving family by his side after a long battle with Hydrocephalus. Devoted husband and best friend of Marilyn for 53 years. Anthony will be forever missed by his daughter Jennifer and son-in-law Frank Porco. Cherished and proud Papa to Nicholas and Haileigh Porco. Anthony is now reunited with his daughter Jodi and his parents Jimmy and Lola Vernelli. Special brother of the late Vince (late Judy) Vernelli, the late Louise Vernelli, Janet (late Ted) Kobinski, Mario (Julie) Vernelli, William (late Jan) Vernelli and Jimmy (Ann) Vernelli. Son-in-law of the late Domenic (Mim) and Stella Mancini. Brother-in-law of Norma Ingram (late Tom) and Maria Klooster (George). Anthony will be missed by many nieces and nephews. A special thank you to Dr. Grosso, Dr. Mantle, for all the years you gave Anthony. Also Dr. Luke Fera, Dr. Nikki Apostle, Dr. Karen Booth, Dr. Victoria Coccimiglio and Sandra Mossa and to a very special group of nurses, PSW’s, Occupational Therapist and Physical Therapy of the Sault Area Hospital. Thank you to Jim and Brenda Delavalle, Bill and Sandy Muscatello, Jerry Grosso and Robert and Linda Greco for all the visits to the hospital to put a smile on Anthony’s face, and to Troy and Annette Chandler for all your support. At Anthony’s request there will be no visitation or service. Memorial donations can be made to Hydrocephalus Canada (In honour of Troy’s Trail, an annual walk for Hydrocephalus) or to the Canadian Cancer Society (payable by cheque).
