The last notes of his guitar have been played but will live on in our hearts. Our beloved brother Charlie passed away peacefully in hospital at Campbell River, BC due to complications with COPD.

Charlie was born to the late Ray & Mary Wells in Halifax, NS, the 6th child in a family that would grow to 9 children. Predeceased by his older siblings Joan Wells, Beverley Wells, Diane Jordan, Alan Wells and Valerie Wells. Left on this earth to mourn him are Debbie Rouleau (Ron) of Sault Ste Marie, ON, Elizabeth Perry (Jim) of St. Louis, PEI and Heather Arsenault (Allan) of Roxbury, PEI. Charlie was a proud uncle of many nieces and nephews in Canada, the U.S. and Australia.

He is remembered fondly by Jean, his many friends and fellow musicians in Courtney, Black Creek, the Living Waters Church in Oyster River, BC and across Canada.

Music was Charlie’s passion and talent. He played across this great country but spent much of his life in beautiful British Columbia. Charlie wrote a lot of his own music and became very savvy on his computer, recording and sharing music with family and friends. Family was very important to Charlie, who loved to gather and tell stories, sing tunes and enjoy life. He became involved with the Living Waters church and shared his talent with their music ministry. He and his sister Debbie, who sings with her church choir, often had great phone conversations about philosophy, faith and of course, music.

We are comforted in knowing that Charlie is now in the unbroken circle of his loving family. God’s speed Charlie - rest easy until we meet again. A celebration of life will be held later this year at the Living Waters church in BC.
