It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Brenda Welvaert on Monday, January 15, 2024, at the age of 56. Brenda passed peacefully surrounded
by family at Sault Area Hospital.
Brenda has been reunited with her parents, June and William Keith, as well as her beloved sister, Susan Arbour. Brenda lives on in the hearts of her siblings, Ron Keith (Gail) and Diana Adams (Rick), her brother-in-law, Wayne Arbour and her soulmate Yvon Ladouceur. Brenda was a proud aunt to Jonathon Keith, Katie Blakely (Dave), Jeff Adams (Jennifer), Kristine Arbour (Dave Murray), Jennifer Arbour and Melissa Belair. Brenda also held her many great nieces and nephews close to her heart.
Brenda's generosity and kindness touched the lives of many. Her impact on those around her was immeasurable. Her selflessness and compassion were evident in the way she always put others' needs before her own. Her legacy of kindness will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to have known her. She selflessly continued her spirit of giving even after her passing by being an organ donor, providing the priceless gift of life to others in need.
The family would like to express their utmost gratitude to the staff at SAH's ICU, particularly Dr Khot and Mara for their support during Brenda's final moments.
Memorial donations can be made to Women in Crisis Algoma in Brenda's honor. Payable by cheque.
The family has planned a private service for the spring.
