Suddenly, but peacefully at the age of 96, on Sunday July 10, 2022, at the F. J. Davey Home.

Loving wife of the late Marian Widlas. Beloved mother of Ludwik Widlas, Regina (John) Ross and Helena (Stan) Pulice. Babcia of Joseph (Kerri-Ann), Adam (Heather), Andrew (Sarah), Aniela (Travis), Antonia (Lance) and Dylan. Great grandmother of 6. Predeceased by her siblings; Joseph, Helena (late Boghdan) Gorski and Janina (Edward) Kwolek. Stanislawa will be remembered by her nieces and nephews.

Born in Poland, Stanislawa and her family were displaced from her home and forced to live in a work camp in Siberia. She then travelled with her mother and sisters during the war through Persia to Africa where she remained until after the end of the Second World War. She then made her way to Canada.

Her love for family and church was her priority. She was a long-time member of the Holy Family Rosary Circle.   She will always be remembered for her big, wonderful hugs.  

A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday July 16, 2022, at 10:30am at Holy Family Parish with Father Boguslaw Jaroszek officiating.  Interment in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery to follow.

The family would like to give a thank you to the doctors, nurses, caregivers and staff at the F. J. Davey Home Cedar Grove 2 for the care and compassion given to  Stanislawa. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Holy Family Parish (Payable online or by cheque).
