Peacefully in Perry, Georgia on Saturday, October 30, 2004. Loving and dearly loved husband of Barbara for 41 years. Devoted father of David (Margreet) and Robert (Susan). Adoring Opa to Gerard Mark (Geert) and Maud Wood in the Netherlands and Grampa of Carolyn and Rebecca Wood in Delaware. Loving son of Hiram (late Edith). Loving brother of Ailsa (Toivo). Dear friend of Helen McFarlane. Predeceased by his mother-in-law Joan Downey with whom he was very close. Fond brother-in-law of David and Sharon Johnston. Uncle to Deborah (Mark), Alex (David), Sharon (Roger), Jennifer and Sam. Mark was a gentle man with many friends. He practiced dentistry for 35 years with staff and patients who were special to him. His interests were many and he enjoyed his life immensely. He will be missed. Family and friends are invited to share in the celebration of Mark’s life at the Arthur Funeral Home and Cremation Centre on Sunday, November 6, 2004 from 12-3 pm. In lieu of flowers a donation to Sault Area Hospital Oncology or Cardiac Units would be gratefully appreciated by the family.
