Peacefully at the General Hospital on Sunday May 1,
2005; Leslie Woodcock at the age of 81 years. Dear father of; Lana Zeppa
(John), Janice Ducharme (Patrick) of Windsor, Brent Woodcock (Angelina) of
London, Byron Woodcock (Donna) and Luke Woodcock (Jennifer) of Windsor.
Husband of Theresa. Loving grandfather of; Ritchie Zeppa & Vicki Zeppa (Jim
Marinelli), Stephen & Michael Ducharme of Panama City, Panama, Kassandra &
David Woodcock of London, Kristien & Stephanie Woodcock, Christopher, Jana
and Tyler Woodcock of Windsor. Brother of; Jim Woodcock, Joy Corboy (late
Jack), the late Harvey and Ken Woodcock. Friends may call at the Northwood
Funeral Home (942 Great Northern Road 945-7758) on Monday evening from 7:00
to 9:00 p.m. and again on Tuesday May 3, 2005 from 10:00 a.m. until time of
memorial service in the Chapel at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Robert Elkin
officiating. Memorial donations made to the Sault Area Hospital Foundation,
the Group Health Centre Trust Fund or to the charity of your choice would be
appreciated. The family would like to send a special thank you to Dr.
Maloney, Dr. Meligrana and the attentive staff of 200 Y at the General
Hospital for their care. Leslie served his country in World War II. Leslie
was one of three men that were very instrumental in the organiziging of the
Group Health Centre, once the Centre was founded, Leslie served many
positions on the Board. Leslie was also very active in the Board of
Education for 10 years serving as the Vice chairman, as well he served on
the Board of Govenors for Algoma University and Sault College, he was also
active on the Board of Directors for the Algoma Steel Credit Union, he also
served Local 2251 in many positions and following his retirement he served
as an International Union representative for 15 years.
