Lawrence Young has joined his wife Maryon on Saturday, October 14, 2023. Larry made it to 87 years old. He had a good life and everybody gravitated to him.
Son of Teresa (Nee Mooney) and Burt Young. His children will fondly remember the good times, Terri Wilson and Martin Young (Chris). Larry leaves behind his brother Bert Young (Carolyn) and Randy Young (JoAnn) and predeceased by his sister Carolyn Jackson (Allan) and brother Michael Young (Michaela Murphy). Grandfather to Brian, Riley and Parker Wilson. Larry will be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews.
We would like to acknowledge dear friend Harry Hurdon for being there for during the good and bad times. Larry travelled, golfed and enjoyed life. Many people knew him from selling them a car. He ended his career at Prouse Motors where he retired. We would like to thank the Sault Area Hospital and 3B floor for making dad comfortable during his last days. We would also like to thank the fine people at Pathways which helped to support him later in his life.
A mass to celebrate dad's life will take place at Precious Blood Cathedral on Saturday, October 21, 2023 at 11 am with Rev. Jeff Shannon officiating. Memorial contributions (payable online or by cheque) to the Humane Society would be appreciated by the family.
