In lieu of flowers memorial contributions to the Sault Area Hospital Cancer Clinic would be appreciated by the family. Vincent served and defended his country in the second world war with great pride in the Air Force as a Morse code operator and radio Ham operator. He continued this practice all of his life and maintained connections all over the world. He also became a skilled computer operator and was very well known at the Drop-In center and in the community. Many will have fond memories of Vincent at age 91 driving his red scooter throughout Station Mall tooting his horn. He also amazed partygoers at age 90, when he rode a brand new bicycle at his great-grandson's birthday party. May Vincent's courage, strength, his powerful energy, his ability to overcome all obstacles and his great zest for life and adventure be a guiding force for all of us during this very difficult time. Vincent always lived life to the fullest extent and even when faced with pain and suffering, he was willing to explore new things and never lost his love of life. We will always cherish his incredible insight and remember his remarkable experiences that he often shared with us as we celebrated as family. Although we will miss him terribly, we are grateful for his length of life and the amazing memories that he has left with us. He will remain close to our hearts forever. Our family would like to thank Dr. Fraser for over 30 years of unconditional care of Vincent. A heartfelt thank you to Van Daele Extended Care Nursing Home, particularly the fourth floor staff for meeting every need that they possibly could for Vincent's comfort, even when he thought he was still the boss. At the going down of the sun, And in the morning, We will remember them. Members of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 25 are requested to assemble at the Arthur Funeral Home & Cremation Centre on Tuesday June 28, 2005 at 3:00 p.m. for a memorial service for the late Vincent Zaffini
