ZIMBARO, Ginetta 'Gina' (nee Longo)

Peacefully at the Sault Area Hospital on Saturday, March 20, 2021 at the age of 87. She is now reunited with her beloved husband, Armando (1998) and her son, Tony (2010). Loving mother of Frank (Lucy) and cherished Nonna of Sabrina Sweeney (Brian “Ryan”) and Michael. Step great grandmother of Nathan and Noah. Sister of Frank Longo (Elena), Antonetta Sica (late Joe) and predeceased by Emilio Longo (Laura), Maria Longo (Nicola), Raffela Scaglione (Annuziato), Luigi Longo (Annuziata), Genio Longo (Maria) and Demetrio Longo (Maria). She will be remembered by her many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Friends and family are invited to visit at Northwood Funeral Home Cremation and Reception Centre (942 Great Northern Rd, 705-945-7758) on Wednesday, March 24, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. Due to the current pandemic there is a maximum attendance restriction of 40 attendees in the funeral home at one time. Mandatory for everyone is the use of masks, hand sanitizer and physical distancing of 2 meters unless members of the same household. A private family service will be held at 1:00 p.m. with Father Trevor Scarfone officiating. The service will stream live through the Northwood Funeral Home Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/northwoodfuneralhome/. Simply be on Northwood Funeral Homes Facebook home page at 1:00 p.m. and the video will appear when the service begins. Entombment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery Mausoleum. Memorial donations to the Sault Area Hospital Foundation would be greatly appreciated by the family. A special thank you to the FJ Davey Home, Birch Lane 3rd floor for taking care of Gina for the last three years. A heartfelt thank you to Karie in ICU for being there for us and showing care and compassion.
