Durham Regional police make arrest in Oshawa, ont., homicide investigation

OSHAWA, Ont. — Police east of Toronto say they've arrested a 40-year-old woman as part of an investigation into a homicide in Oshawa, Ont., earlier in the week.

Durham Regional Police say the woman is facing one count of second degree murder in the death of 67-year-old Ruth Humphries.

Police say Humphries was found dead on Nov. 2 by her grandson.

They say her death was an isolated incident and are not looking for other suspects.

Police did not provide any details on whether there was a prior relationship between the victim and the accused. 

Police are asking anyone with information about the case to come forward.
