Mississauga, Ont., man charged with murder in deadly Georgetown house fire

GEORGETOWN, Ont. — Police say a 27-year-old man has been arrested on two counts of first-degree murder and arson charges.

Harrison Brown, of Mississauga, Ont., was arrested by Halton police on Friday.

Police say the arrest followed an investigation launched after the discovery of two bodies in a Georgetown, Ont., house fire.

The bodies of 56-year-old Krystyna Rerak, and her 59-year-old husband Andrzej Rerak were discovered in the remains of their home on Feb. 17.

Investigators say the accused had a business relationship with one of the deceased.

Police believe Brown acted alone and there is no broader, related public safety threat.

Anyone who has information about the incident is being asked to   contact investigators.
