Protesters have set up a blockade on a popular commuter rail line near Hamilton halting passenger train service.
Metrolinx spokeswoman Anne Marie Aikins says GO Train service near Hamilton has been affected as well as all points west on the route to Niagara Falls, Ont.
Aikins says about a dozen people gathered on the tracks at 5:30 p.m. Monday and remain there this morning.
She says Hamilton police and CN Rail are investigating.
The new blockade comes just a day after police moved on an encampment in Tyendinaga Mohawk Territory near Belleville, Ont.
Dozens of provincial police officers descended on the area Monday morning and arrested 10 demonstrators who were charged and released with conditions.
