Police arrest woman, seek man after shooting death at east-end Toronto mall

TORONTO — Police have arrested one woman and are searching for a man in connection with an alleged homicide at an east-Toronto shopping mall.

They say they were called to the Scarborough Town Centre earlier this month and found a 26-year-old man with gunshot wounds at the entrance of a store.

Jordon Marcelle was pronounced dead in hospital and was Toronto's 37th homicide victim of the year.

Police say they've arrested a 21-year-old woman and charged her with one count each of first-degree murder and attempted murder.

She appeared in court on Sunday.

They say a 26-year-old man is wanted on the same charges, and they're asking anyone with information on his whereabouts to contact police.
