The Waterloo Regional Police Service has declared a COVID-19 outbreak among its ranks after five members tested positive for the virus over four days.
The service says three of those infected work at its headquarters and the remaining two are based at the north division.
The force says 27 members have tested positive for COVID-19 since the start of the pandemic in March of last year.
That includes officers and civilian staff working in five different buildings in the region.
The force says it continues to work with public health officials to ensure proper contact tracing.
It says the service's regular response operations won't be affected by the outbreak.
