15-year-old charged with uttering threats

TOWNSHIP OF THE NORTH SHORE – On Feb. 1, 2017, members of the East Algoma Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a threats complaint at a residence in the Township of the North Shore.  

Police learned that a male had been contacting his ex-girlfriend for the past two months through social media and threatened to harm her. 

As a result of the investigation, a 15-year-old male, from Iron Bridge, Ontario, was charged with: Uttering Threats-Cause Death or Harm (Spousal) contrary to section 264.1(1)(a) of the Criminal Code (CC).

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Blind River on Feb. 23, 2017.
