GOULAIS RIVER - On April 30, 2019 at approximately 2:10 p.m., members of the Sault Ste. Marie Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a complaint of a possible impaired driver on Highway 17 North, Goulais River, Ont.
OPP officers attended the scene and as a result of further investigation, Brian Collins, 59 years old of Havilland Township, Ont. was charged with the following:
• Operation while impaired - alcohol and drugs, contrary to section 320.14(1)(a) of the Criminal Code (CC),
• Operation while impaired - blood alcohol concentration (80 plus) contrary to section 320.14(1)(b) of the CC.
The accused is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice on May 27, 2019 located at 426 Queen St., Sault Ste. Marie, Ont.
