East Algoma OPP have charged someone with assault after an incident that took place yesterday on St. Joseph Island.
Police say that shortly after 9 p.m. last night, they responded to a call of a domestic dispute in the village of Hilton Beach.
As a result, a 29-year-old from Hilton Beach was charged with:
- Assault - spousal, contrary to section 266 of the Criminal Code.
The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Blind River on Sept. 3, 2020.
