The driver of a vehicle involved in a single-vehicle collision Tuesday morning on Highway 69 suffered serious, life-altering injuries, according to provincial police.
Emergency services responded to the collision in the Estaire area shortly before 5:30 a.m. on July 2.
Besides the serious injuries sustained by the driver, the passenger also had minor injuries. Both were transported to the area hospital by EMS.
The northbound lanes of the highway were closed for just over nine hours to allow for the investigation and the removal of the vehicle.
The OPP Collision Reconstructionist and members of the Traffic Collision Investigation Team attended the scene and will continue to assist Nipissing West OPP officers with the investigation, which is still ongoing.
