VEHICLE STOP RESULTS IN ARREST
(Espanola) On April 15, 2013, members of the OPP Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau, Sudbury Drug Enforcement Unit in partnership with the Espanola Police Service, Wikwemikong Tribal Police Service, United Chiefs and Council of Manitoulin Anishnaabe Police Service and the Manitoulin Island Detachment of the OPP, conducted a vehicle stop in the Town of Espanola.
As a result of this investigation 2941 grams of marihuana, $220.00 cash, packaging material a debt list and a canister of bear spray was seized. Two males were arrested and have been charged with various drug and weapon related offences. Patrick ROWAN was held in custody while Michael SAMIS was released on Bail to attend court on May 7 ,2013.
