(Elliot Lake, Ont.) On March 31, 2008 police received a complaint regarding a possible break enter theft.

The victim reports that unknown person(s) entered her apartment on Mississauga Avenue sometime between March 25, 2008 and March 30, 2008 and removed a camera, a watch and a small quantity of costume jewelry.

Investigation continuing.

TRAFFIC STOP NETS DRIVER SEVERAL CHARGES

(Elliot Lake, Ont.) On April 3rd, 2008 while on general patrol in the City of Elliot Lake police observed a vehicle driving on Axmith Avenue with a possible stolen validation tag.

Police located the vehicle and spoke with the driver. The driver was arrested and taken to OPP Detachment in Elliot Lake. At the detachment the suspect allegedly threatened and assaulted an officer.

Charged with the following is Tylor BEGGS (28) of Elliot Lake.

Possession of Property Obtained by Crime
Breach of Probation
Utter Threat to Cause Death or Bodily Harm
Assault Police

BEGGS remains in custody awaiting a bail hearing.

TAKING A BREAK NETS BC MALE A TRIP BACK TO ONTARIO

(Blind River, Ont.) While on general patrol, on March 31st, 2008 at approximately 1:39 p.m. an OPP officer noted a vehicle stopped on the side of Highway 17. The officer spoke with the driver and through investigation the driver was charged.

Charged with Possession of Cannabis Marihuana is Francis Christian Yvon CERE (20) of British Columbia. CERE is scheduled to appear in Blind River court on June 5th, 2008.

TRAFFIC COMPLAINT LEADS TO IMPARIED CHARGE

(Aweres Twp., Ont.) At around 01:30 am this morning OPP officers were called to Rupert Acres Trailer Park in Aweres Township to investigate a traffic complaint in the Park.

A black GMC truck passed officers at the Park entrance and failed to dim its high beams and set of overhead lights.

The vehicle was pulled over and Officer’s detected an odor of an alcoholic beverage on the driver. The driver’s speech was slurred, his eyes glassy and he was unsteady on his feet when he exited his vehicle.

Arrested and charged with Impaired Operation of a Motor Vehicle is Robert CLEMENT, 23 years, of Willa Drive in Aweres Township.

ARREST WARRANT ISSUED

(Aweres Twp., Ont.) An altercation that took place at a residence in Fisher Trailer Park, Aweres Township, on the 2nd April 2008 at around 9:00 pm has resulted in an arrest warrant being issued.

An arrest warrant has been issued for Cassis WOODCOX, 25 years old, of 59 Old Garden River Road, Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario.

On the evening of April 2nd, 2008 OPP were called to a residence in Fisher Trailer Park to remove WOODCOX who was intoxicated and had allegedly physically assaulted a male and a female occupant of the home.

It is alleged WOODCOX then allegedly ripped a phone out of wall and used a shovel to smash an interior window.

WOODCOX is charged with two counts of Assault contrary to section 266 Criminal Code of Canada and who counts of Mischief under $5000.00.
