FATAL MOTOR VEHICLE COLLISION (Wawa, On) The Superior East Wawa OPP are currently investigating a fatal motor vehicle collision which occurred on Highway 17 approximately 25 Kilometers South of Wawa.

FATAL MOTOR VEHICLE COLLISION

(Wawa, On) The Superior East Wawa OPP are currently investigating a fatal motor vehicle collision which occurred on Highway 17 approximately 25 Kilometers South of Wawa.

Preliminary investigation reveals that a lone Motor Vehicle was traveling Southbound on Highway 17 in the Laronde Township when it left the roadway. The lone female driver of the Vehicle was ejected and as a result received fatal injuries. The name of the deceased is being withheld pending notifications of next of kin.

The OPP would like to remind the public that traffic will be slow in that area and to exercise caution. The OPP will advise the public when the Highway will be fully re-opened.
