Recovered Stolen PU Batchawana First Nation Police recovered a 1999 Green Chev Silverado PU on a bush road on the Rankin Reserve at 9:15 a.m. on Friday morning the 28th of August.

Batchawana First Nation Police recovered a 1999 Green Chev Silverado PU on a bush road on the Rankin Reserve at 9:15 a.m. on Friday morning the 28th of August. The truck had been stolen from a Barber St address in Sault Ste Marie overnight. A Stihl Chain saw was stolen from the back of the truck. Anyone who may have seen this vehicle please call the Batchawana Police or call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.

Business Break and Enter

Batchawana First Nation Police are investigating a Break and Enter discovered at 4:51 a.m. Friday morning. The Steel Speed at 487 Gran St Rankin Reserve was broken into an a number of lockers forced open. Stolen from the property were various hand tools, a grinder, mag drill and bits and a welders helmet. The thieves also stole a blue 1990 GMC Sierra Pickup truck. The truck has a rack on the back of the truck and Steel Speed written on the door. Later in the morning some of the stolen tools were recovered near the Francis Clergue School. Anyone who may have seen the stolen vehicle on the reserve or near the school are asked to call the Batchawana Police at 1-888-310-1122 ( OPP Dispatch) or Crime Stopppers at 1-800-222-8477.
