Repeat break-in target of senseless damage

(Elliot Lake, Ont.) - A Central Ave. resident was the target of a break-in where several hundred if not thousands of dollars in damage to the home and articles.

Sometime after 8 p.m. the owner of the house returned after being away to find that his house had been broken into.

Nothing appeared to have been taken BUT many windows mirrors and articles were damaged for no apparent reason.

Police have recovered some items in the hope of gathering some forensic evidence.

The East Algoma OPP are asking anyone with information about this incident to call them at 1-888-310-1122 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).

Police are reminding home owners to let a trusted neighbour know when you are going to be away so that they might keep watch on your house to help prevent such incidents from happening.
