Stabbing at Goulais Mission Residence Sault Ste Marie OPP stopped on Hwy# 17 at the bottom of the Mile Hill at 1205 01 Jan 09 had a truck stop and tell the officers an occupant in the vehicle was the victim of a stabbing.

Stabbing at Goulais Mission Residence

Sault Ste Marie OPP stopped on Hwy# 17 at the bottom of the Mile Hill at 1205 01 Jan 09 had a truck stop and tell the officers an occupant in the vehicle was the victim of a stabbing. Police investigations found that a 44 year old Goulais Mission man had been stabbed 3 times when he intervened into a verbal argument between his son and another man. The victim has been treated and released from hospital. Charged with Aggravated Assault and 2 counts of Breach of Recognizance is Justin Craig Ethan McKay age 20 of 226 Cathcart St Sault Ste Marie. McKay will appear in bail court Friday morning.

Two 16 year old Girls Injured in MSV Collision

Two girls walking on the shoulder of Whitman Dam Lake Road near Searchmont were struck by a MSV at 1005 p.m. on the 1st of January 09. The girls were taken to hospital with serious but non life threatening injuries. The accident is still under investigation and charges are pending against a 25 year old Hodgins Township man. Alcohol was not a factor in this crash.
