EXPENSIVE WATCH STOLEN! (Elliot Lake, Ont.) The East Algoma OPP is requesting the assistance of the public regarding the theft of a Rolex watch. The watch, which is valued at over $5,000.

(Elliot Lake, Ont.) The East Algoma OPP is requesting the assistance of the public regarding the theft of a Rolex watch. The watch, which is valued at over $5,000.00, was taken during a break and enter at a residence in December 2007.

If you are aware of the whereabouts of the watch or may have been approached to purchase the item, please contact police or crime stoppers.

Being in possession of a stolen item will net charges for the buyer and/or suspect.

CITIZEN COMPLAINT NETS SEVERAL CHARGES FOR A LOCAL MALE

(Elliot Lake, Ont.) December 24th, 2007 at approximately 7:16 p.m. police responded to a complaint and while investigating the incident, noticed a male youth walking down Mississauga Avenue in Elliot Lake dragging a Canada Post mailbox.

Through investigation, police charged the male.

Charged with the following is Brett Christian BURKE (19) of Elliot Lake.

Theft Under
Mischief Under
Obstruct Police

BURKE is scheduled to appear in court February 5th, 2008.

(Elliot Lake, Ont.) Due to the rash of Break Enter and Thefts in the city of Elliot Lake, the East Algoma OPP would like to remind all citizens to lock your windows and doors.

Police are currently investigating several more incidents in the area of London Crescent, Mississauga Avenue, Laurier Road, Kain Crescent, Lakeview Crescent, Spruce Avenue and Willoughby Road.

The OPP would like to remind all citizens to report any suspicious activities or person(s), day or night to police. Please do not hesitate to call.
